The Community has a number of activities for this age group.

 

Bnei Akiva:  Shabbat afternoons during term time 3.30 to 5.30pm

BA is a great opportunity for children School Years 2 – 8 inclusive to socialise and learn in a fun and relaxed environment. The leaders are drawn from the young members of the community. Games and discussions galore.

From 3.30 – 5.30pm each Shabbat at the shul during term time.

Shabbat and Yom Tov services 5 – 11:  11.00am to 12.00pm

Every Shabbat and Yom Tov from 11.00am – 12.00pm. There are 3 groups within this age range:

Reception – school year 2 in the Synagogue hall
Boys in school years 3 – 6 on the lower ground floor
Girls in school years 3 – 6 in the shul flat

Special Events for 5 – 11 year olds

Special events often revolve around Jewish festivals. At South Hampstead festivals never go by without excitement for our children, educational activities and opportunities to greet and meet others. Special events do also take place outside of festival periods.

Cheder:  We run a fully-fledged cheder for children aged 5 – 11.
