Bagels to Brady Street with Blue Badge Guide and author of Jewish London, Rachel Kolsky
Explore the lesser known area east of Brick Lane, from the enticing aroma of bagels and the sights and sounds of street markets to the new designer stores. You will feel the memories of the Jewish community flood back. Featuring the sites of synagogues, the Jewish maternity hospital and Hughes Mansions, whose residents were almost entirely Jewish when tragedy struck in 1945, the tour ends with a treat, a visit to the closed cemetery at Brady Street, opened in 1761 and closed in 1858.
