This month we are delighted to be hosting Rabbi Naftali Brawer who will deliver a talk entitled
“Sacred Attuner: Rabbi Yehudah Leib Alter of Gur”
Rabbi Yehudah Leib Alter of Gur was a Hasidic master with immense influence. His seminal work, Sefat Emet is widely studied and is increasing in popularity. Through his work he teaches us how to discover the sacred in everything and in every moment. He combines deep psychological wisdom with an acute sense of spirituality. His work has the capacity to change one’s perspective on life.
Rabbi Dr Naftali Brawer was ordained at the age of twenty two and for fifteen years he served as rabbi to two United Synagogue congregations. He is a published author, columnist and broadcaster. He holds a PhD in Hebrew and Jewish Studies from UCL and is a student and teacher of hasidut and Jewish mysticism. In September he co-Launched, with his wife Dina, a new Jewish community called Mishkan, which meets in public spaces.
The evening will begin with a delicious buffet dinner.
Time: 7:45pm dinner with the talk at 8:15pm
Suggested voluntary donation: £12:50 (including dinner)
