South Hampstead Youth (SHY) is the youth wing of South Hampstead Synagogue, serving everyone aged 11-18.

As one of the first synagogue youth groups established in North London, SHY continues to set the standard for engaging Jewish youth programming!

At South Hampstead, we know that young people (you!) are an integral part of our community. We love gathering every Shabbat morning to play games, do activities, learn, pray, and eat together! SHY offers a warm and welcoming space where our youth can connect, learn, and have fun. Our goal is to make SHul feel meaningful and enjoyable – a place where lasting friendships are built and memories are made.

In addition to our time together on Shabbat, SHY offers a wide range of weekly activities. From social events and volunteering opportunities to learning programmes and leadership development, there are many ways to get involved in our community, connect with others, and grow.

Whatever your interests, there’s a place for you in SHY – we look forward to welcoming you!
